Hi all,
I have been working in IT for the last couple of years and am only new to the Home PC 'thing'!
I was wondering if You could help me?
I am trying to hook up my DVD player to my Sony 32" Widescreen tv. The PC i have is a Packard Bell PC!
Celeron 700Mhz, 64Mb RAM,20GB HDD, with Integrated Intel 815e chipset! Any advice on what TV-OUT card that would be compatible or that i could use?
What video card are you using? If you want to watch DVD movies on your TV your best bet is either getting an ATI video card with TV out or a dedicated DVD decoder card. Software decoders are generally of poor quality compared to hardware decoders. ATI uses hardware assisted decoding which looks just as good as long as you have a PII 400MHz or higher processor and you do. If you are using the i815 chipset for your video, I would suggest upgrading to a dedicated video card. You can get the ATI Rage Fury for under $100. Otherwise, get a dedicated DVD decoder card with TV out.
So what if I don't NEED 170fps. Your point is what? James
