Power Supply Question

Hey guys,

I'm in the building stages for a budget gaming PC, and I'm wondering if the Corsair TX650 is able to run 9800gt's in SLI? The 9800gt's will be replaced with a more powerful single card in a few months, so it doesn't matter if the TX650 can run newer, more powerful cards in SLI.

Thanks

For a system using two GeForce 9800 GT graphics cards in 2-way SLI mode NVIDIA specifies a minimum of a 500 Watt or greater power supply that has a combined +12 Volt continuous current rating of 33 Amps or greater and that has at least two 6-pin PCI Express supplementary power connectors.

If you have the Corsair Enthusiast Series TX650 V2 (CMPSU-650TXV2), with its +12 Volt continuous current rating of 53 Amps and two (6+2)-pin PCI Express supplementary power connectors, it is sufficient to power your system configuration using two GeForce 9800 GT graphics cards in 2-way SLI mode.
