I am building a rig as a gift for a young relative for christmas, and I need some advise on a ram selection.

I have actualy placed the order for a:
Corsair Vengance CMZ8GX3M2A1600C9 8GB (2X4GB) kit,
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820233144
but I there is a chance the shop wont have them before christmas.

Apparently the only other option (in stock) I may have is a:
Mushkin Enhanced Radioactive 8GB (2 x 4GB) 240-Pin SDRAM DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800) Desktop Memory Model 997005 kit.
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820226219&Tpk=MUSHKIN%20997005

I am personally a Corsair fan myself and I don't know too much about Mushkin.
Should I wait for the Corsair kit and possibly risk being late for xmas, or should I just take the Mushkin kit and finish the rig?

FYI The Ram will be installed on an ASUS P8H61-M LE Mobo along with an i3 3220 3.30GHz CPU (thats the best I could do on the budget I have for the build :) )

There is a good chance they both use the same module under the heat sink. Neither company is a manufacturer and both buy from the same OEMs like Micron, Elpida, Powerchip, Hynix ect. Both kits are rated the same 1.5v DDR3 1600 cas 9 and both have lifetime warranties. I would say you are good with either kit.

The shop came through and I got the Corsair Vengance I had originally ordered.
I completed the build and the youngster got his new PC in time for xmas.
Thanks again!
