i need help with the ASRock H61-DGS and i5 3470 3.2 Compatibility. on the ASRock supported CPUs for the ASRock H61-DGS the i5 3470 3.2GHz CPU is not on the list but i5 3470 2.9GHz is. does the ASRock H61-DGS Mobo support the i5 3470 3.2GHz CPU and is there a need for BIOS update. mine is version P1.30

A i5 3470 with a stock clock of 2.9GHz does not exist. Do you mean the 3470S?

Regardless, both CPUs would work as both are socket LGA1155. Same with the board. (yup, the board is ivy ready)

no i was referring to the i5-3470T and i know its LGA1155 but my concern was, why they didn't add it to the supported list while adding the i5-3470T in or maybe i shouldn't be too worry about it, ha?
plus even if it support it but needs BIOS above P1.30 like the i5-3350P(needs version P1.40). i'll screwed.

Buy a cheap CPU to upgrade the BIOS haha - my 3570K didn't work in my board till I updated it either. I ended up buying a cheap 1155 for around $20 USD.

Perhaps keep the extra CPU as a backup for testing when in doubt?
