Two power supplies.....

I am building a new mod and am going to have two power supplies in it. One for the CPU, HDD, ex.. and one for the fans.

I read something a week ago about how to connect both of them together so the motherboard turns them both on at the same time.

It was really simple, the first PS is connected to the MO normaly and the second PS splices in to the first. The connections are very simple... connect pin 15 together from both power supplies and pin 14. The last thing you had to do was connect pins 7 & 8 together on your second power supply. Done.

My question is.... does anyone know where to find information on this and has anyone done this themselves ?

I'm doing (basically) the same hookup. Here's a schematic for the p/s.

Looks like 7&8, 14&15 pretty much do it. The alternative is to short out those wires, and hook the p/s up to a seperate switch. A peltier can cool down the cpu before you turn on the main power supply this way.....
