that was my build 2 years ago and i'm looking to upgrade any of its component. that build cost me approximately $600.. i do little bit of gaming.
  3. What exactly do you want to see in terms of performance? Are you wanting everything to be faster, or more emphasis on gaming? What tasks do you do with the computer?
  4. CPU: AMD 955 BE - http://www.newegg.com/Product/ProductList.aspx?Submit=ENE&DEPA=0&Order=BESTMATCH&N=-1&isNodeId=1&Description=955+be&x=0&y=0 ($124 USD)

    GPU: AMD XFX 6950 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814150523 ($239 USD)

    Total: $363 USD.

However, if you need a larger Hard drive.... or if you are using all 4 gigs of RAM with your tasks, then I will adjust accordingly.

Okay, then I shall change it up. Here is what I recommend:

SSD: OCZ Vertex 2 90 GB (boot and programs only) $145 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820227601

    GPU: Sapphire AMD 6850 $145
    http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814102908

    CPU: AMD 955 BE $125
    http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16819103808

    Total: $415.

This shouldn't be final, there is room to toy around with the SSD and GPU.

Are you running 32-bit or 64-bit windows?
  7. I'm running 64-bit windows 7,
  8. Awesome. Then you should be set with RAM. But if you ever wanted to upgrade that, its cheap as hell. $32 for the same set of RAM you have now. - http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820231276&Tpk=F3-10666CL7D-4GBRH

    Also, I made some tweaks.

SSD: Mushkin Enhanced Callisto Delux. $140 (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820226152).

    Everything else is the same.
