Im upgrading a rig that I have... and Im a little confused on what video card to throw in there. Just a mid-ranged card Im going to buy ram and throw it in there as well about 4gb or maybe 6gb of ram. Any ideas on a video card I can put in there?

I don't think that you can go for the 8gb ram. :( It is ddr3, and your pc uses ddr2. What are you using the pc for? A good mid range gaming graphics card:

before you buy either card, make sure your psu can handle it. (it probable can't)

I highly recommend starting with a fresh build. Meaning new case, motherboard, power supply, etc. The processor is old and will bottleneck your new video card, so you'll need a new processor and a new motherboard to go with it. You're going to need a new power supply anyway.
