Hello,
I am having issues with the HD 6950; I can install the video card into the computer and boot windows up. Having removed all drivers from my previous card, a HD 5770, The HD 6950 will run windows without any graphics drivers installed, but when I install the drivers from the Disk that came with the HD6950 and reset windows, the video card will begin to artifact and eventually crash to Blue Screen of Death within 2 minutes of logging onto windows. I catch only a brief message about video drivers recovered before the PC shuts off.

I've tried other Driver from the AMD website, and still get the same issue. I can re-install my HD 5770 and the computer runs just fine.

I bought the HD 6950 off Amazon.com and returned it for a replacement card, the same issue happens with the new HD 6950 I received.

My system is
.Widows 7 64bit
. Asus M4A79XTD EVO
. AMD Phenom II X6 1100T
. AMD Radeon Sapphire HD 6950 2GB
. G. SKILL Ripjaws 16 GB (4 x 4GB) 240-Pin DDR3 1600 (PC312800)
. Samsung F3 HD103SJ 1TB 7200 RPM SATA 3.0 GB/s
. LITE-ON DVD Burner SATA model iHAS124-04
. Antec EarthWatts 650 W

When you install the drivers from the AMD website it should tell you if it installed everything without issue or if there was a problem. You should read that file as the issue definitely seems to be a bad driver installation.

I should add that the Sapphire cards I have received from amazon.com where the Dirt 3 edition. And on the first Card I upgraded from a 520 Watt PSU to the 650 Watt PSU thinking I was under powered.

Also I do not over clock so the cards have only experienced "normal" settings.
