Windows 8 Black Screen MOBO bios Problem

I posted this in this thread because i read on another site that the installation may have something to do with the way my bios on my mobo is configured.I just finished a build for my first computer, everything is detected and running now all i have to do is install the OS. Im using a usb dvd drive to read the disk i have. After the files are installed to my hdd the system must reboot, after reboot the windows symbol pops up,and then the loading circle pops up below it, the screen flashes to black and then goes back to windows symbol a few times, it might even say getting devices ready sometimes. Then it goes to a black screen and stays there. Nothing happens! This is my first some computer and being a teenager i worked hard to get all my parts.... Im so close to getting the job done. Help please, id appreciate it so much. I have updated my bios
MY Computer Specs Are:
i7 2700k
Asus 660 ti OC edition
Asrock Z77 extreme 4 LGA 1155
8gb of Gskill 1600 DDR3
Seagate Barrcuda 1tb
Corsair GS800w PSU
NZXT Phantom full tower case.

Did you connect your monitor to the mobo or to the graphics card? You may need to change the priority in bios to get it to run.

it kept changing the resolution on me so i had to switch inputs, i got it to work, thanks
