I intend to build an all-purpose general usage PC for mostly web-browsing, programming, administrative tasks (intensive usage of virtualization) etc. I will neither overclock it, nor will I play resource-hungry games on it.
Here's my config so far:

CPU: Intel Core i5 2500K
Motherboard: GigaByte GA-Z68X-UD3H-B3
Memory: G.Skill DDR3-1600 8192MB PC3-12800 (Kit of 2x4096) Sniper (F3-12800CL9D-8GBSR)
HDD: Western Digital Caviar Black 1TB 7200rpm 64MB WD1002FAEX 3.5" SATA III

I will also buy an SSD, but later.
The most important requirement for the box (apart from being fast enough) is to be silent. Thus, I'm not sure about the case, PSU and CPU cooler yet. What would you suggest to get for all those three components to make the PC silent enough?
Also, is the HDD of my choice is silent enough, or are there anything better than this?

I would go with either 1055T or 1090T and 16GB of RAM (VMs need physical cores and RAM). You will never play games or you will play casual games? monitor's resolution?

I'd better not said "intensive virtualization" :)These could be occasional VMs just for some investigation with different OS's.
I will play games, which will work well on the Sandy Bridge integrated graphics (Minecraft :)).
I've already made the final decision as to the CPU and Z68 chipset (I'll be installing an SSD, which will work best on Z68 with its caching functions). The motherboard options are still welcome, as well as memory ones.
But the most important part is the silentness, so I really need help on choosing the components, which make the noise in the system.

For now I've chosen the following:
PSU: Antec Basiq VP550P 550W
Cooler: Noctua NH-D14
Case: Aerocool Qs-202
