USB 3.0 Adapter?

I have the NZXT Phantom 410 Case for my computer. This case has two USB 3.0 ports built into the top of the case. To connect both of these USB ports to the motherboard, you have to use one of those large blue USB 3.0 cables (i am not sure what they are called exactly). My motherboard does not have a connector that will fit this large cable, but the motherboard does have two regular USB 3.0 ports on the back. Is there some kind of adapter or something that will allow me to connect those ports on the back of my motherboard to the large blue USB 3.0 cable?

    An asus m5a97
  3. The board has USB 2.0 connectors (9 pin). You can use a 3.0 to 2.0 adapter.
    Something like http://www.ebay.com/itm/USB-3-0-20-Pin-Female-USB-2-0-9-Pin-Male-Motherboard-Housing-Converter-Cable-/110973488117
male or female (check the type you need).
  4. Or you can try a PCIe USB 3.0 adapter card with a 20-pin header for the front ports and includes two extra rear ports.
