If a device requires 12v and 2 5 amp can i use a power source which delivers 12v

I have a Device which has 12v 2.5A rating and i have an adapter with 12v 1A rating ca i connect his device with this adapter is it fine ?

The adapter is designed to cope with 1 amp, and not a load 2 1/2 times that, so the short answer is 'no'. Likely to generate a lot of heat, might work for a while but personally I wouldn't risk it...

no, voltage of your adapter will drop due to excessive load, and it will harm your adapter.
(from title i thought that you want to use a 12v lead acid battery instead of 12v rail of psu to power your rig)
