All this is new:
mobo - M5a97 pro
CPU - 1090T x6
Ram - gskills 1600mhz 4gb
graphics - saphire hd6770 vapor-x
so all was installed and plugged in but all i get is the standby power light (green)..
I have taken this and that out trying to fault find inc. using multi meter on PSU. However when i try to turn on (have taken power button off - so put the two wires together) the standby light flickers and the psu makes a small but funny noise and the fan on the psu doesn't start.
i have taken the graphics card and all other peripherals off with same result. fans connected to mobo dont start.
obvious conclusion is PSU but am getting power though it.. although the fan doesn't start
when i did have graphics card installed when wires joined the light on the side would come on then die straight away, the fan on the card didnt seem to start.
Does anyone have an inkling as to what the problem might be?
