I have used P4 processor, Sony CDRW and Adaptec EZ CD creator to create VCD (MPEG1) from Panasonic digital camcorder (DV). I did not have any problem in creating this VCD.
However, I am unable to view this VCD in Panasonic A320 DVD player. But I could able to view VCD using any computer CD-ROM. I tried creating VCD with both CD-R and CD-RW dics. Both of them failed in my DVD player.

How could I make a VCD which can be read by a DVD player?.
I appreciate any help.

What do you mean by can't view it? Does it not even show anything but a black screen? Does the player not recognize it as a VCD? Does it run but just flickers so much that it's unable to be viewed?

Hi Rob,
Thanks for the reply.
My DVD player doesn't recognize that there is VCD loaded. What should I do?.
Any help/suggestion appreciated.

Hi Tom,
The only thing that I can think of is to make sure that you're using their wizards to make the VCD. Make sure you select "video CD." Or you might want to try a different brand of CDR; sometimes that makes a difference too. I haven't experienced that problem, but have experienced problems due to NTSC/PAL incompatibilities, in which case it flickers.
