I have a Toshiba laptop. For some reason it does not want to accept automatic IP assignments on the LAN. It will take manual assignments. All software is up to date. Everything looks OK.
Any suggestions.

Is DHCP enabled on your router?

Are you experiencing this problem with your own network, someone else's, or does it not matter what network you're on?

Answers to questions:

DHCP is enabled as far as I know. Now that is something I wouldn't know where to activate---not that famular with W7 yet.
When I am on-line, I am the only device active. I have no problems with the other 2 PC's, or the IP printer.
