Hey guys,

So I've recently replaced the motherboard in my super old computer, from one with a Pentium 4 processor to one with this processor.

And I'm wondering, how hot can the processor become? I was playing a game all afternoon, and I checked the temperature afterwards with SpeedFan. It was around 55-60C. This is in a poor case, with no fans. We also have a fire burning in here, so the room temperature is around 27C.

So, my question is, is this temperature OK? and how long will it live?

~55-60C is toward the top of the temp range for that CPU.

A case with no fans - is a very poor case. And a 27C ambient (room) temp influences the overall temps.
Test again with the room temps around 20C and with the side of the case open.
