So we have:
Intel i5 2500K at $230
AMD FX-8150 at $240
Intel i7 2600K at $330
So in the 2500K vs the 8150, the general consensus seems to be Intel unless your upgrading a am3+.
The reason I question this is when the Q6600 first came out a lot of people said the faster dual-core counterparts were better, but I found my Q6600 exceeded their lifespan because more things were getting optimized for multi-threading.
So my question is will the 8150 possibly outlive the 2500K because of its 8 cores?
Or should I abandon both these and fork out the money for a 2600K?
Or... Should sit on my money for something that's around the corner?
