CPU Temp not reading

My new computer, by new I mean I built it on Christmas day/night, isn't showing temp readings. I've used Speccy and CPUtemp, neither show a reading. My MOBO, GPU's, and HDD have a reading. Any help or suggestions on what I can do our move around, in the case, if the temperature detector isn't broken?

Try HWMonitor and Coretemp....

Run those and check if you get the temps being displayed.
Otherwise you could just have a faulty sensor.

Another great way is to run speedfan. Usually one of the temps in speedfan is your core temp. Adjust fan speeds and listen for your cpu fan to speed up or down- it is usually the loudest fan when at 100%. Then look at the temps and the one that changes is you core, cpu, or TIN temp.

Stay away from speed fan, that's a really bad utility.
