I had a RAIDMAX HYBRID 2 RX-530SS 530W worked well for a week then died on me should i just get a refund and buy a difrent psu my system needs a min 430 wats i wanted to get at least 500+wats

My old psu http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817152028

Should i just try to get a replacement and hope it works this time or send it back get my money back and order a difrent brand if so what psu do you recommend i want to have at least 500 wats my price range is 40-70 on for the psu i just want one that has a low chance of failing on me.

your old PSU was only rated for 444 Watts Max on the 12 volt rails. in reality it can probably deliver under 400 Watts, maybe 350 since the combined current ratings of the 12 V rails is always higher than what can actually be delivered. its hard to say since they lumped the 3.3v and 5v wattage with the 12v so you can tell how bad it actually is. Don't get a replacement and expect it to work.

how do you think this psu would work out http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817139028
Here my systems specs if it helps

Motherboard: M4A87TD EVO
Ram: Pareema 8GB (2 x 4GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1333
Cpu:AMD Athlon II X3 455 Rana 3.3GHz
Gpu: Xfx Radeon Hd 4870 1 Gb Ddr5
Hdd:Western Digital Caviar Blue500GB 7200 RPM SATA 6.0Gb/s
Os: Windows 7 ultimate 64 bit
Psu:RAIDMAX HYBRID 2 RX-530SS 530W < old psu thing im trying to replace.
Case:inwin griffin yellow

The 600 Watt would do fine. its rated for 480 Watts on the 12 volt. the 500 Watt rolli59 linked is rated 408W and would probably work as well. if I remember right the 4870 is a 225W part and the CPU should be under 100 though so I would lean toward the 600w
