Hello ,

I been looking at the new prices for memory online and they are very cheap now.
I want to increase my memory on my computers but I cant find anywhere on an EASY way to tell which memories are compatible with my PCs, I used Crucial.com(their systemscanner) but it only gives me links to their own brand and it doesn tell me how to find them for myself.

well what it does tell me is this things

windows 7 64bit
DDR3 PC3-10600, DDR3 PC3-8500, DDR3 PC3-12800, DDR3 (non-ECC)
and max memory is 8GB would this mean I cant buy 16GB of memory ? :( ?

second computer is very old.

DDR PC3200
max memory is 4GB

Download HWiNFO from here http://www.hwinfo.com/ and install it. It will tell you the brand and model of your motherboard(s). Next search for the specs on the manufacturers homepage. You will find the type and max amount of supported memory there. If it says max 8GB, then you will not get 16Gb to run.
