Hey guys, you probably get this alot but havn't found a solid answer. I have a few questions about what ram to use.

Current Build Setup
Corsair Obsidian 800D Case
Corsair Ax1200i PSU
Corsair H100i CPU Cooler
Corsair Neutron Series™ GTX 480GB SATA 3 6Gb/s SSD
Asus Rampage IV Extreme MoBO
Asus GF GTX690 GPU
Asus DVD+RW Drive
Intel I7-3970x CPU
Windows 7 Home Premium 64-Bit

computer is 85% gaming, 15% video editing

1) i know the board will handle up to8xDimm 64gb (8x8GB) of ram at 2400 MHz, with Quad Channel Memory, i know i do not need that, i am wondering if i should go with 8GBs ( 4x2 GB s), or 16GBs ( 4x4 GBs ), i don't think i will ever use more than 16 GB of ram.

2) what MHz would be best, i read that the I7-3970x max recommended MHz is 1600, i dont not plan on overclocking anything at this time but will further down the road. 1600, 1833 or more?

3) what series of Corsair ram do you guys recommend or prefer for the R4E Board. what will work with the R4E is the Vengeance, Dominator, and Dominator Gt in 2400 MHz only, according to the site

personally i always stick with the gskill sticks, they arent known as overclockers but they are well priced and i have never had any problems with them in any build i have done for myself or friends
