Hi guys.
I just finished building an A7V133 system which works fine.
I have two Dimms Muskin 256MB PC133 Cas2 SDram running @ 147MHz (2-2-2 set @ 7 nano's)
Not had a single problem up until now, the RAM passes the Bios check without any problems, but when I use a ram testing Utility it dont passes the test or gives errors.
e.g.
In CTSPD
All is OK but only the last post says;
SPD-Eprom full programmed = OK
SPD-Eprom = Error

Norton utilities says;
Testing memory using pattern with all bites cleared
Error detected at 147075072
Test failed

The errors don't disapear even if I set the ram to 100MHz and 3-3-3

Up until now the system never failed even under full load (Quake, Unreal, Tfc, ACAD)
Anyone an idea what can be wrong here?

Try with one stick at a time. do you have spd enabled in bios? Have yuo tried sisoft sandra? Give this a shot and do the memory burn in test. let me know your results. are you experiancing any anomalies in normal operation or just in these tests?

A little bit of knowledge is a dangerous thing!

Hi Ncogneto,
Sandra says;
No problems
Current mem. - int ALU/RAM Bandwith 507MB/sec
Float FPU/RAM Bandwith 569MB/sec.

SDRAM config is not set by SPD in Bios, but USER Defined
7ns(143MHz)

Burn-in test Sandra flawless, CPU temp raise 1°C (49->50)

I do not know for sure but I think this may be the cause of the errors you were recieving. Perhpas something to do with the actaul tests themselves. Your Sandra scores are good so I would feel a whole lot better about things right now. :)

I sure do! :)
They cost a lot of money. I bought them via the net.
I live in Belgium, sending them back to Muskin USA is not that easy.
Thanks Ncogneto
