I'm building a new gaming rig mainly for BF3 and Diablo 3 when they come out. I was wondering what gpu should i get realisticly. Should i get 570/6970 or will a cheaper one do? Im playing on 1920x1200 with one monitor.

Thought id mention that i'l get a 2500k as my processor. So whats on my mind at the moment is GTX 570/6970/GTX 460 SLI/6850 crossfire. Should i pick one of those or something else in the price range of 350e for BF3 1920x1200?

I checked the benchmarks on dx11 and it seems 6850 CF pretty much beats every other gpu card on every game on my price range. Would it be a good buy? My plan is to build something like this:
Z68 motherboard
2500k proseccor
2x6850
4GB ram 1600MHz 7CL
I'm not sure about the PSU tho is a 500w corsair PSU enough or do i need a 650w one?

If I had to choose, I'd choose the 6970. The 570 is also great but consumes more power. Both 2 gpu's configurations are ok, but again, power consumption would be a little higher.

Yeah i'l propably go with the ASUS 6970 DirectCU 2.
sounds like a good choice, also if you can wait and grab a 7K GPU you'll benefit from the 1 GHz GPU frequency, 28nm technology ( less power consumption, less heat ) and new XDR2 Technology is said to be a twice faster than GDDR5.

if you go with HD 6970 i would suggest a Sapphire toxic Hd 6950 this card is faster than HD 6970 with a little pure overclock, the following article claims that
http://www.xbitlabs.com/articles/graphics/display/sapphire-radeon-hd-6950-toxic.html
and for the best FPS in 1920×1200,,, CF is the best option, so 2 of those 6950s will rock your game, don't forget that resolution above 1080P is a Vram hungry so 2gb GPU is a must

those cards are the worst ever because of microstuttering explained recently by Tomshardware, in addition a 500W psu won't be sufficient you need at least to have a good quality 700W PSU in order to run without a lag of performance

BF3 just released the recommended video card for the game. It's a 6950 or a gtx 560. Now that's recommended, so I'm not sure it that will max it out or not, I'm thinking not. I would go with the 6850 CF setup if you want to play BF3 at 1900x1080 maxed out. Try to buy the models with the highest amount of ram if possible. Or you should (IMO) buy the fastest single card you can afford. I'm gonna have to overclock the snot out of my 5870, lol
