Hello,
I have replaced a notebook lcd display because the old display had approx 25% dead pixels. Is there any use for the old disply or should I just trash it?

notebook LCD displays have no easy way to interface with them. If you feel like doing an overly complicated project you can build a VGA interface for them but it isn't worth the effort other than for personal interest.

In other words, toss it unless you have a ton of spare time and nothing to do.
