Im really sorry for starting yet another thread, but I hope this will go quickly.

I have decided against building a system that has overheard for SLI, as I will most likely just stick with a single card setup for a while.

Lets hope this is painless. Point out any major flaws (look carefully at psu).

CPU: i5 2500k
GPU: gtx 580 lightning
RAM: Ripjaw X 8gb 1600mhz
Mobo: AsRock Extreme4 Gen3
PSU: Seasonic X650W
Case: Corsair 650d

I will be playing at 1680x1050 for the time being (until christmas most likely)

how does this look?

That should be able to run everything at max right now, especially at 1680x1050.

The PSU wattage is good for a single card, but you may run into problems if you wanna SLI in the future. Since you don't care about that, you should be good! I haven't heard of Seasonic so I can't comment on their reliability. I'm a Corsair fan myself.

You didn't mention anything about OC the processor or an aftermarket heatsink. If you are planning on a solid aftermarket cooler the ripjaws are a tiny bit taller than they should be to accommodate most coolers. Patriot has a killer offer today:

Pretty much the same in every regard only lower profile so that you won't have to worry about air coolers. If you are planning on watercooling then any will do.
