Asus mobo turns on and off repeatedly

Hello, I just put together a new computer and the Asus maximum V extreme mother board turns on and off repeatedly every second. i checked the connections, DDR3 memory, and processor. What are possible causes?
I also have no error code display on mobo. This system is completely new - hard drives everything.
No operating system has been installed yet.

Hi,
If installed in the case, try taking the board out and test it on its box. It might be a shorting issue.
Have you properly applied the thermal paste and installed the CPU fan?

i pulled the motherboard out, placed it on the box (no shorts) and i have the same result. i went through the instructions a second time and nothing. I have a second power supply so i tried that, i have a new intel motherboard so i tried that. i get the same results with both motherboards using different power supplies.

intel core i7 processor 2600K LGA1155

corsair vengeance 32GB DDR3 memory cards

cooler master pro 800 watt power supply

Have you tried with just one stick of ram? Looks like it is between ram and CPU now that you have tried two boards and two PSU's.
