As with your previous build (and can you please call this a system and not a CPU, the 2500K is the CPU), at 1700 no its not worth it. You got the last build down to 1200 that was worth it. and if you want to spend another 500, you could go for dual GPU's or wait for 1 year or 18months and buy a better GPU thus extending the life of the machine by a good 18months at full pelt.
