How can i connect a hewlet packard monitor to a dell dimension 4550 hard drive?

i am trying to connect a hp monitor to a dell deminsion 4550 hard drive, but the connectors on the monitor and hard drive are diff. can you help me?

You dont connect a monitor to a hard drive.

I'm sure by "hard drive" he means the desktop itself.

What colors are the ends? Is one blue, the other white? It's possible that you have a VGA monitor (blue end) and a DVI connection on the computer (white plug).

A little more info will help.
