Will radeon 6970 work with a 530w power supply

i have just orderd radeon hd 6970 GPU and a 530w power supply i was planing on getting the radeon 6950 and that needed a 500w+ power supply and i 4 got to get a change it to a 550w and i can not cancel it intill monday i need to know if the 530w will be ok or not it has every thing i needapart from its 530w not 550w any help.

Depends on the rest of the system, as your GPU is not the only part that sucks up wattage. In general a solid 550w PSU would suffice if you don't do much to any overclocking etc.

A quality 550W PSU should be fine with that system and a 6970. I'd go with that Corsair 550W PSU jemm mentioned.
