Will install SP2 in a few days on my PC with XP Pro
SP1a. But before I got through the whole hell/fun-ness
of it, I have a few questions.

1. Java. Because MS got rid of the Java Virtual Machine,
I now use the Sun Java Webstart. Anyone have problems
with this and SP2?

2. Can I use the Google Toolbar WITH the new IE6 Pop-Up
Blocker? I love the auto-fill feature, but Google Toolbar
has really dropped off in the # of pop-ups it will catch.
Now it lets about 10-20 a day through.

3. I use P2P programs and I am worried about the new TCP
limit of 10 downloads at once. I hear its impossible to
fix with a registry tweak. Any other way around it?

4. I use Norton AntiVirus 2002 Pro. Anyone have any
problems with it?

5. Anyone notice any problems after applying SP2 with
their Audigy 2 ZS sound card?

6. I use Divix. But I hear folks have been having
problems. What free version can I use without problems?

Besides the above, what I plan on doing is backing up
EVERYTHING any way. Apply the SP2 and see how it works
out. What breaks. Then I will wipe my C:\ drive and re-
install fresh from scratch and then add SP2 as well. But
some help for the above questions would be nice.

Thanks

1. No
2. Yes
3. You'll need a server version of Windows to get
more connections. Then when your ISP sees all
the connections, they will bump you to a commercial rate.
4. Norton AntiVirus 2002 Pro is obsolete - upgrade to 2004
5. No issues
6. ??

Thanks for the info. I still use Norton AV 2002 as it
still does the job quite effectively. I still have the
latest virus definitions (8-14-04), and I don't need the
added 'features' of Norton AntiVirus 2003/04.

Also, I have Nero Express Ver 5.5.10. Anyone know if
this will cause me problems?

Court--

I have 6+ and haven't used it yet but some looks at forums on the issue say
there are minor problems but that 5.5 Express should be compatible. I would
try to get every update available from Nero's site available. I don't know
if you'll have to upgrade, but people say they are using 5.5 with no
problems and some report minor ones with 6.0. I couldn't find anything
specific on Nero's site, but you might have a look:

"Still using 5.5 (the latest one, 5.5.10.56) here. Everything works fine."
This came from the thread below:

I'd like to hear how you do with Nero and SP2.
