Hey Im builting a new computer which will be manily for gaming, soildworks and also college next year and it will be my first build and I just want to know if I should change anything. Im not getting everything in one go I already have my PSU and case (corsair HX850 watt, Xigmatek Midgard) And i will intend on overclocking the CPU and GPU.

So hows the parts for my build:

Motherboard: Asus P8Z68-V PRO/GEN3 S1155 Intel Z68 DDR3 ATX
Processor: Intel Core i5-2500K 3.30GHz LGA1155 6MB
RAM: Corsair Vengeance 16GB (4x4GB) DDR3 1600MHz CL9 XMP
Bootdrive: Corsair Memory 120GB Force Series 3 SATA 6Gb/s
GPU: Asus GeForce GTX 570 742MHz 1280MB

If you could please suggest a decent 1TB storage drive and CPU heatsink please.

Ok i have a 300GB HDD that i can use for the time being. And I would love to go water but I need a new case and money but when I start working I'll start water cooling but for a year or so it will be air cooled.

So for now go with something like a cooler master hyper 212 evo or if you can afford to, a high end cooler like a noctua. If it fits your case.

I have heard many good things about it and Im not going for a mad over clock just a decent one. And I was thinking that but I have only got 20 games and they take up 80GB and i dont mind game load times, just bootup times i like a fast machine.

First: Have you heard of editing posts? It hurts my head just to see multiple posts by a person in a row. Also, I would not recommend getting a SSD until I have almost decked my PC with components that are useful such as gfx cards and such. The SSD isn't going to boost performance in games whatsoever or just make the game load faster.

-Water cooling really provides no tangible benefit on Sandy Bridge....the better air coolers can take ya well over 5 GHz. here's some choices:

-Cooling
$25 - Hyper 212
$50 - Scythe Migenb 3 (5-7 lower than the 212)
$80 - Thermalright Silver Arrow

-If the 16GB gonna help ya in Solidworks, so will lower CAS

Id wait 10 days for the new 560/570 hybrid

-While SSD's are great at benchmarking, their actual impact is shall we say....much less than they oft made out to be. The following is from Son No. 3's dual boot box ...

-Boot time from Barracuda XT (2TB) - 21.2 seconds
-MMO load time from Barracuda XT (2TB)) - 45 seconds
-Boot time from - 15.6 seconds
-MMO load time from 120 GB 550 MBps SSD - 45 seconds

But, OTOH, ya does get to brag about ya 7.9 Windows Experience Index for the storage system :)

Your welcome, they have cheaper ones for under £100 but I wouldn't recommend them, you'd hamper yourself in the future.
