Budget Range: £500 - £700

System Usage from Most to Least Important: playing BF3 and SWTOR when it is released

Parts Not Required: Keyboard, HDD, Monitor,

Preferred Website(s) for Parts: Any where from uk perspective.

Country: United Kingdom

Parts Preferences: I'm looking at a i7 2600k 3.4 gig, GTX 560 1GB GFX, Asus p8p67 MOBO, 2x4gb corsair 1600 mhz ddr3, antec 300 case. Haven't decided on PSU just yet.

Overclocking: Maybe

SLI or Crossfire: not initially

Monitor Resolution: hmm back in my day 1024 x 768 was all the rage! Probably around the 1600 mark

Additional Comments: I am open to any suggestions on anything I have listed. I understand that I'm not going to be incredibly knowledgable as this is the first time i have looked into this in such a long peroid.

Ps if you think this is either to powerfull or I can make savings can you please let me know!

CPU - get the i5. i7 will not help in games.

GPU - if your budget will stretch, get the GTX560Ti.

Memory and motherboard are OK,

You need to get the absolute best GPU you can afford or you will be a sad guy trying to play those games on high settings. GTX560TI or HD6950.(or more if you can squeeze out some more quid)

i've put a gtx560ti on the build now thanks for the advice. Just one more thing I realised that I need an uptodate version of windows I am currently using xp. Where is the cheapest place to get windows 7 premium from?
