Ram/motherboard issue on new build

Hello everyone. Got a question for ya,
I recently purchased a new mobo/ram/processor. The system recognized the ram as 1600 instead of 1866. When I have all 4 modules in, the system will crash I have tried putting each pair of 2 in each set of channel slots and tested them and both sets of 2 work in both channel slots at proper voltage/timings. I'm kinda stuck as what to do/try next to help narrow down the issue. Any help would be greatly appreciated :-)
Thanks in advance!
