Reboot comp and now its knackered!

I bought a brand new Acer laptop yesterday with Windows 7. I had some internet problems and rang Acer for a solution. I was told to restart the comp and do te Alt F10 thing to completely reboot the comp as this would supposedly clear up any problems. I did this but now when I start the comp it says 'Preparing computer for first use' then I get the error message 'The computer restarted unexpectedly or encountered an unexpected error. Windows installation cannot proceed. To install Windows click "OK" to restart the computer, and then restart the installation.' To which I click ok... it restarts and then gives the same error again.
Anyone help?

As this is a brand new computer, I suggest you send it back to Acer to fix if you followed their instructions and it failed.
It could be that it has a hardware problem.

if you have a windows disk, put it in the drive when you click OK

Sadly dont have a Windows disk.

And was thinking of sending it to be fixed as like you say they gave me instructions and it didnt work.

I just thought I would see if anyone could help first
