Unsure if able to use 8gb x 2 RAM sticks in current laptop

Hello,
I just bought some new laptop memory for my ASUS N53SV-XV1, and am unsure if I would be able to use 8gb x 2 RAM sticks which are DDR3-1600, PC3-12800. I tried using www.crucial.com to get some quick answers but everything it recommends for me to use are 4gb sticks.

Ok, first of all your Laptop/Quad CPU supports up to 16GB of DDR3 1333MHz SODIMM. 1600MHz should work too, bcause they just underclock to 1333. What I couldn´t find out is what GB size one memory bank can take. Try and Error, sorry

That is the part I am most scared about thanks a lot for the input though much appreciated.

asus n53s with i3 or i5 can only be update to same model i3 o i5 dual CPU, but not i7 quad. althoug chipset is tha same have in mind they do not support it. firts is, and very clear in asus official page, dual version come with 2 memorry slots for maximum 8GB RAM, 2x4gb, and quad comes with 4 slots maximum 16gb, 4x4gb and the other is that i3 and i5 version support 3mb cache, while i7 support 6mb and i7 come in quad version with 6mb cache.
