It's a long shot, but... The front USB slots on my HTPC aren't working

Hi all,

I put together my HTPC a few months ago. Everything is working fine, except for the front USB ports. I'm using this case:

and this is my MoBo:

Is there something I'm overlooking here? I just want to know before I pop it open a third time and try and get them working. The only thing I can think of is the USB 3.0 ports causing an issue.

Any help would be really appreciated!

Well, let's start with the simple stuff. Is it plugged in? Next, is it plugged in correctly?

The case has the new USB 3.0 header, and your motherboard only has USB 2.0 headers. Did you plug the case USB 3.0 cable to the included adapter, and then plug that adapter into one of your motherboard's USB 2.0 headers?

USB3.0 cable->USB3.0-to-USB2.0 adapter->USB2.0 motherboard header

If you have it correctly connected, have you made sure the motherboard headers are not disabled in the BIOS?

Did you try installing drivers?

Personally I think I would go with the mATX board and save the money. Here is a review...
