Asus p6x58d-e sli problem

Hi all,

I have recently built a new pc (first SLI build) but i cant seem to get the 2nd sli card running. I have installed all of the needed drivers for the mobo and gpu, double checked the connections (sli bridge power etc) but it still seems to think there is only one GPU in the system. are there any seperate drivers for SLI etc?

build:
Mobo: Asus p6x58d-e
CPU: Intel i7 960
GPU: 2x Gigabyte Nvidia 560's
RAM: Gskill Ripjaw 8GBx4 1600
PSU: 1000w Corsair

What slots do you have the cards in?

Have them both in x16 PCI Slots

And what cards are they? Are they exactly the same?

Yeah both are exactly the same: Nvida geforce 560 (Gigabyte)

Are they both Ti's or plain 560's?

Just the plain ol 560's no modding or oc'ing as of yet XD

Are you installing the latest driver with both cards installed? And are you choosing the 'Clean install' option?

Have installed with the latest driver, just gave it a "Clean Install" the to see if there was any difference. still not detecting the 2nd card.

What about your OS? Have you got it fully updated? With W7 you might have to 'force' a few of them.

Just running through the last few updates for W7 atm. ill see how it goes in 30 mins or so, cheers.

Thanks for the help, managed to find out that it was a faulty pci-e cable : /

all fixed now and both cards are up and running
