Building a good system with a 900 dollar budget

My friend needs a new computer, and wants me to build him a custom one. I know how to build them, but I have no idea what parts to get and if they are compatible. He has a 900 dollar budget, and would like it only for the sole purpose of gaming.

Budget Range: 900 dollars before rebate

System Usage from Most to Least Important: Gaming, Editing Videos/Photos, browsing

Parts Not Required: Keyboard, Mouse, Speakers, Monitor.

Preferred Website(s) for Parts: Newegg, Tigerdirect, ncix, ebay
Country: United States

Parts Preferences: Any full tower case with decent airflow. A video card that can max all the latest games with ease

Overclocking: Yes

SLI or Crossfire: No

Additional Comments: Doesn't matter how loud it is, as long as it has a great video card and processor

  4. if youre not going to sli in future then get a smaller psu and an i5 and z68 mobo

    its $890 after rebates
  5. if you are going to choose the other build don't get a green drive and get the 1gb 6950 if he only has a 1920 x 1080 or less monitor .
  6. He has a 1650 x 1050 monitor, I believe. He just wants it for gaming. I like Emelth's setup, but I used 8GB of RAM instead of 4GB. He also wanted a Full Sized Case for future upgrades. And I also need a good i5 fan that will fit in a mid-size case
  7. Hyper 212+ or Hyper Evo are good options but fitting in the case is questionable, if you can reach for a $1000 budget let me know cause I have a better build than the one I posted
  8. xigmatech gaia goes for $10 after MIR on newegg

My friend can go to 1000 dollars, but that's the MAX
