I was going to buy this ASRock 970 Pro3 mobo, but I would like some opinions on it.

http://www.asrock.com/mb/overview.nl.asp?cat=Specificat...

I'm not someone who is into overclocking so that's not a real point for me but I would still like to know if it has overclocking possibilities. Goes in a Corsair 300R Carbide case!

I will be using AMD Phenom II X4 965 BE with it. Graphics card is GTX660.

Thanks in advance

I really like my ASRock mobo. I was very impressed with the features after getting into the UEFI. OC'ing is really easy. For beginners learning, there are even CPU OC profiles saved into it for easy, modest OC's. I would recommend ASRock mobo's. I'm an Intel/Nvidia guy, so idk about that particular mobo, but if it's anything like mine, and it seems like it's very similar, it's a solid part w/ lots of features.

I see that it only has a 4+1 VRM.
You should look at getting a 8+2 VRM board if you are planning on overclocking.
I was looking at that board but I decided on the 990FX Extreme 4 instead.
And for the last two days that I have it running it is a top notch board.
I have 2133 ram in it and it is running full speed and I have a FX-6300 at 4.8 stable now although it can go faster.
Until I can get better cooling I am using a cooler master Hyper 212+ with two fans for now.
My temps stay at or below 63c at 100% cpu load for the most part with Wprime.
But not with Prime95 it gets to 69c, Still not bad with a cheap air cooler.

I hope this helps you.

Thanks for the replies guys, makes me want to buy it even more :p

I have another little question, will it be a problem if I stick a 4-pin cpu connector into the board with thsis cpu? My PSU does not have an 8-pin. But I did order a 4-to-8pin adapter but still I don't think that makes a difference on the power supplied by the PSU...

yes that is for the CPU.
No it is not a probblem.
Mine came with a little sticker on the socket for placement of a 4 pin connector in to the 8 pin socket.
