Gigabyte ga-ma78gm-us2h amd processor unknown

I am trying to upgrade my processor from an am2 socket to an am3 which my mobo supports. i am trying to use an phenom 2 x6. I have updated the bios to f8. when i boot up with the new processor i do hear a beep during post but gives me the message amd unknown processor and all it does is continously reboot and it will not enter setup at all.

looks like i was a bit pre mature in posting this but i went back on and found a F9 beta version. once i updated that it worked great. on a side note when i had the original processor in the splash screen showed 3 gb of memory tested, after the new one it shows 4gb? weird.
