CM 690II problems

I have a h70 in my case in a pull/push set-up. (sucking air out of the case through rear exhaust port. Problem is, They rear fan will NOT work whenever I put the side panel back on. I've spend alot more time than I'd like to admit trying to fix this issue. Suggestions?

Can you be more specific please. Which rear fan? The rear fan on your h70 or another fan in your case?

This is a very odd problem.

A picture will be extremely helpful to this thread

The exhaust fan on the H70 which is mounted on the rear exhaust fan of the case.

Is the side panel close to any of the power cables for that fan? Maybe when you attach the case it pulls/loosens the connetion...

Are you saying the fan is running, then you put the side panel back on and it stops working? And when you take the side panel OFF it starts working again?

yes the fan runs fine whenever it is off. I've checked the connection via the fan side of the case.
