Can portable hard drives be repaired

Hello,i have a portable eaget hard drive and the connection piece inside has come off it is rattling inside.how do you get inside it.

I had the same problem but since I didn't need it as a portable hard drive I just got myself a SATA connector and used it as a second hard disk drive.
As repairing it it should not be hard. Just open the thing and put whatever came loose on its correct place

To get inside, you will be voiding the warranty, i say this because you will have to remove a warranty sticker to get to one of the screws, there may also be some glue holding it together, Id recommend getting a new external HD chassis and just plugging it into that instead of trying to repair the old one. (unless your comfortable with a soldering iron).

You could just take the HDD out at plug it into your computer as its just a normal sata HDD with a USB converter.
