I have an old DOS game (11th Hour : the Sequal to 7th Guest) which I
have been trying to run in XP Home. According to the installation
instructions, the game will not run from a command prompt. With
Win98Se, on restarting, I had the option to boot in DOS mode, but this
option doesn`t seem to be available with XP. and as this game is
started with a .bat file, I cannot create a PIF either. Any help to
enable me to run the game would be much appreciated.

Many thanks
Kate

Use the compatibility mode in windows xp to run older games.

click help and support and then search for this phrase Compatibility wizard"
or click on start | Programs | Accessories | Program compatibility wizard
