A friend was able to transfer a photo from his Treo 650 Cellphone/PDA
to my Motorola v551 cell phone but when he tried to transfer a address
book contact to the v551, the v551 crashed and rebooted (screen went
black then white then eventually the main background image came up).
Motorola support is telling me that the Treo 650 doesn't have the
proper profiles to transfer address book entries. Does this seem
correct? How does one find out whether this is the case or not?

When I try and beam via BT and address from my Tungsten 2 to my V551, my T2
crashes, when I transfer images I can do so either way between each device.
I have tried using the Palm BT and using BeamPRO which is supposed to allow
me to beam anything via BT. Not sure, but will be watching this thread for
a solution...

Sorry that I do not have the answer to your question, but I have been having a
problem getting my V551 to transfer contacts/appointments to an ipaq 2215.

How did you contact Motorola support? I would really like to ask them why?

I am able to send contacts to and from my V551 and Palm T3. I don't use
'beam contact' I use 'send contact'. Seems to work just fine for me.
