First build in a LONG time - Graphic artist rig

Last rig I built was over 10 years ago, when it crapped out on me, I bought a cheap dell Inspiron to bridge the gap. I do a lot of illustration for toys packaging and dvd covers on top of coloring comics. I don't do much gaming on the PC, since sitting at the computer feels too much like work. I mainly use Photoshop.

I did some homework and came up with this rig on Newegg. If anything jumps out as bad or if I'm missing anything, PLEASE don't hesitate to point it out!

MB: I didn't see a motherboard in your list. Go for an Asrock Z68 Extreme4.

Monitor: Get the Dell 24" Ultrasharp for $350. It is better display for that price range.

PSU: For your rig, a 750W is more than enough. It even helps if you go for SLI later. Corsair TX450

As for the SSD, Go for a crucial M4. More reliable one. And great price/performance

The GPU depends on your budget. I would advise a solid GTX560Ti.

For the motherboard, I chose GIGABYTE GA-Z68X-UD3H-B3 LGA 1155 Intel Z68 HDMI SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX Intel Motherboard Is the Asrock better then that one?

For the monitor, I need to get one without LED backlighting, as it's colors are less accurate. The viewsonic is the only sub $500 monitor that is IPS and no LED that I could find.

Is the 560 better than the Radeon 6870?

go with the 560.

i think nvidia graphic cards are a lot more stable than Radeons. especially for gaming.
those card definitely wont disappoint you, or let you down.
