Good quality highly compatible case?

I am thinking of building my first computer, I thought I'd start with the case and use it as a building block.

I just wanted to get some feelers on good brands or models that are compatible with the latest/best mobo's and PSU's etc

There are a LOT of cases out there that meet your criteria. You have to help us narrow down the field a bit more...Full tower? Mid Tower? How important is fan size/placement and are there any absolutes must-have criteria? USB 3.0 a requirement? What type of aesthetic are you looking for: lights or no, front door or no, preferences on front panel placement, side panel solid or window. Help us to help you....

It actually makes a bit more sense to figure out what's going inside the case so you can determine whether or not the case you want to buy is capable of supporting your build.
