Will 450w PSU be sufficient for the following:

AMD Phenom II X6 1045
1.5 TB HD
2.0 TB HD
24x DVD RW
2 120mm case fans

Also, is there a limit on the amount of wattage a motherboard can handle. I may want to go to 500 with a better manufacturer.

Also, would a 500w sit the same as my 450 right now? Or does a 500 require more physical space.

Solution
No, there is no limit to the PSU power rating (wattage) that a motherboard can handle..the mobo will only ever draw as much power as it needs.

Are you going to get a discrete graphics card or are you going to use integrated graphics? if you're using integrated graphics, then you don't even need a 400W PSU.

Forgot to mention 8GB or ram.

Thanks, no, I am using integrated. Will never add a graphics card. Using the system with MS Home Server 2011 purely as backup. How are the diablotek supplies. Any risk in using one of those?

Diablotek are horrible...
This Antec is more than enough for this rig: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817371033

A good quality 300W would be more than sufficient for your build; something like this Seasonic: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817151086

If you absolutely want something 400W or larger, then this Corsair Builder 430W is a good little deal: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817139026

Of the three that I listed, I would go for the Antec earthwatts and call it a day. ;)
