Asus Xonar DG front panel problem

I recently purchased my Asus Xonar audio card. The box says that it will recognize when a headset/microphone plugged into the front panel of my computer, but it doesn't do that at all. Everytime I try to plug in my microphone, headset, i cant get any sound or voice to go through. The only place i can recieve anything is through my speakers which plug in the back of the soundcard (which doesnt have a microphone input so only sound can be obtained). Any tips or Help would be appreciated.

The FP Audio Connector needs to be connected to the FA audio header on the Xonar and not on the Mobo. Make sure you have it connected there.
Check the User Manual, it's the No.6 Connector on the Xonar.
