Plzzz i need help

ok well i just bought a evga gtx470sc edition and i have a Samsung 2233sw monitor its 21.5inches 1080p resolution native but ever since i installed the GPU my native resolution has been set to 1024x768 i could force it in the nvidia control panel to 1080p but in games the max resolution i get is 1600x122. can anyone tell me how to get back my natice resolution to 1080p or at least how to get 1080p res in games.

P.S. i have the latest monitor and gpu drivers installed

check resolution ratio, see if it's set to 4:3.
u should set it to 16:9 for 1080p

i did this in modern warefare 2 and black ops and warhammer chaos rising, i changed the aspect ratio to 16:9 and still i'm not getting 1080p only up to 1600x1200 which is 4:3 ratio i think the GPU detecting my monitor as a crt monitor cuz its connect through VGA

1600*1200 is 4:3.
if u think VGA cable is the problem try a DVI cable,

my monitor only has VGA connection, b4 my gtx470 i had a 8600gt n it worked fine full 1080p 16:9 aspect ratio idk y the gtx470 not doing that

uninstall ur current drivers and reinstall the latest from Nvidia's website.
sometimes it takes a simple reinstall to fix some errors

did that and still nothing =/
