  1. If possible, tell us your CPU, RAM, and Power Supply Wattage. We also need to know your resolution.

In general, the best card for $100 is the Radeon 6770. After rebate, you can get a Radeon 6790 for that price. For just a little more, you can get a Radeon 6850, which many people consider worth it. Each one improves on the previous by roughly 15%.

But give the rest of your system details as a 6770 may or may not be enough depending on what you have.

Best Nvidia you can get in that price range is the GTS450 - http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814134119

Nvidias are a good deal for their 3d kit. Hope it helps your purchasing decision.
  3. If Nvidia is preferred and you trust rebates, this is a good deal:

AR that's the best performance per dollar of any card listed so far (the 460 768MB is comparable to the 6790 in speed).

Honestly in the $100-$150 range AMD has better options, which is why I listed them. But yes, there is also Nvidia if you're into their unique features.
  4. for $100 you cant beat this deal -

it does not supports DX11 but i think it really does not matters for a "casual gamer"
it will easily beat 5770,6770,6790 and gts 450.
  5. Not really. It will usually (but not always) slightly beat the 6770 but a GTX 260 does not beat a 6790 (a 6790 is around 5830/4890 speeds which almost always beat a GTX 260).
  6. this because gtx 260 are outdated cards in comparison to 6790s.
  7. My PC config is CPU- Intel dual core 2.70Ghz, 2GB DDR2 RAM, 450 watts SMPS. I'll be playing at 1366*768 Resolution. I need atleast a GDDR5 1GB GPU.

Never thought of upgrading at least your RAM? Seems to me like your system can bottleneck your GPU.
  9. the 6770 or 6790 is a good fit for your setup. def upgrade your ram though
  10. You do not need at least 1GB of VRAM. Not at that resolution.

    I suggest this:

Just make sure you do the rebate, and the rebates have been coming through. Once the rebate hits, no other deal will match this for $80 shipped.
  11. this is best option -

this a good 2 gb ram (otherwise your gpu may be bottlenecked)

    with this GPU-

for $100 you will crysis just fine(not ultra)
